Lou Ann's Home Rules
1. All spaces are different sizes and volumes. Select your pieces for scale and proportion.
2. Mix it all up. Antiques warm up the contemporary slickness.
3. Watch out for clutter, leave some spaces bare, edit.
4. Live in a space for a while so it becomes your friend, then others will feel like they know you after the creation.
5. Not everything has to be expensive or precious, just interesting and / or thought provoking.
6. Please don't match. It will look too stilted or planned.
7. One item by itself can be more beautiful than a dozen.
8. Color - select ones where no one dares to go.
9. Think of a new way to do something, do it, take it another step, and on the third turn you'll have something special and different.
